Inside distribution networks the pressure and the temperature of the gas must be adjusted before it enters residential utilities. The high pressure of the gas is not suitable for consumers’ use. The reduction of the pressure is then connected to the reduction of the temperature, and the whole procedure requires a remote supervision and monitoring.
In this type of installations is frequently applied the WE300, to monitor and manage the first stage gas pressure reduction stations.
Once implemented with specific sensors, WE300 can read the main parameters of the system: input and output pressure, filter differential pressure, temperature and level of preheating liquid. According to the acquired parameters, WE300 can then send alert notifications to the appointed operators or perform automated corrective actions, in order to bring values back within safety ranges: WE300 can interact directly with pressure relief valves and intervene automatically on gas odorization process. WE300 can also manage a system of alarms notification in case of leaks, intrusions, power supply failure and other anomalies.
