REMOTE DISCONNECTION

The expansion and evolution of wind and solar photovoltaic installations across the countries require ever-greater oversight due to the constant upgrading of legislation. Remote disconnection has become a mandatory requirement in Italy since 2014 for electricity generation plants powered by wind or solar photovoltaic sources with a capacity of 100 kW or more. This system allows the remote interruption of the power supply of the plant via a command sent over the network, enabling the system operator to prevent temporarily disconnections of the plant in the event of an overload, maintenance or emergencies, and avoiding interventions in presence.

How the system works

WE151, thanks to the integrated GSM-LTE modem and the on-board inputs/outputs, is the ideal device for managing plants that require a remote disconnection system. The easy-to-use configuration interface allows you to manage the list of authorised numbers, the syntax of commands to be sent by the operator, the disconnection timings, the opening confirmation feedback and much more. WE151 also enables a more advanced system management as, in addition to standard remote disconnection operations, it enables data collection and sharing with IoT platforms, as well as the generation of alarm notification messages. Nethix devices also comply with the CEI 0-16 italian standard (updated to 2025), which defines the technical rules for connecting generation plants, ensuring safety, stability and interoperability with the national electricity grid.
