MONITORING OF GENSETS

In gen-sets installations the remote monitoring and control solutions are used for reading specific parameters, and for the control of the power supply system.
On gen-sets applications the power supply system must be reliable and efficient, thus remote monitoring and control solutions are frequently used on such installations for keeping key parameters constantly under control.

A typical application is the use of WE151/WE152/WE500+ at radio repeaters, located where the electrical supply network is not available. In such cases it’s necessary to find alternative power sources, as for instance photovoltaic or diesel gen-sets energy. These are particularly used for granting power supply in case the main supply network should fail, even for a long period of time.

HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK

The devices allow to monitor the functions of gen-sets, communicating directly with their control interfaces, in order to collect and make available to the user all data, necessary for an automated action in case of malfunctions.

In case of alerts, a prompt notification is sent to the service team, that can immediately connect remotely to check the status of the system. A centralized collection of the data is in such situations necessary, considering that the stations are usually deployed in far distant places. To this regard Nethix offers also its own Cloud service as an option, but allows also to use third parties’ server. The constant reading of the parameters, such as the fuel-level or the number of operating hours, allows a predictive analysis and diagnostics, that help avoiding production downtimes and allow to schedule technical services on due time.
